AVNEESH Bacha is a Mauritius-based DJ, VJ, producer, visual artist and cultural curator. Equally shaped by sound and image, he is both ears and eyes on the decks — connecting DJ sets, VJ performance, live visuals, projection, visual direction and music production into a single live language. His sound moves between electronic music, bass, dub, hip hop, nu jazz, house, techno, sega, maloya, tropical rhythms and archival island sounds. His visual work spans live VJing, moving image, projection, stage identity, video teasers and immersive audiovisual experiences. As the founder and creative force behind ë, BABANI, BABANI Soundsystem, BAD and ZANANA, AVNEESH builds bridges between Indian Ocean heritage and global contemporary culture.

His practice connects DJ sets, VJ performance, live visuals, projection, visual direction, music production and cultural storytelling. From Mauritius to Singapore and international stages, his sound moves between dub, hip hop, nu jazz, house, techno, bass, sega, maloya, tropical rhythms and archival island sounds. His sets are built as journeys — shifting between groove, rhythm, texture and atmosphere. As a VJ and visual artist, AVNEESH creates live visual environments that respond to sound and space. His visual work spans VJing, projection, moving image, stage identity, video teasers and immersive audiovisual experiences. Rooted in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean, AVNEESH is also the founder and creative force behind ë and BABANI, two interconnected projects exploring music, visual culture, archives, community and cultural memory.
